Paperwork checklist — do not skip any line

Registration certificate (blue book) in the seller's own name, matched against their NID.

Valid tax token and fitness certificate — check the expiry date, not just that the paper exists.

Insurance status, and whether any traffic case is outstanding against the registration number.

Chassis and engine numbers physically matching the blue book — bring a torch and check both.

Ownership transfer at the BRTA office: budget ৳3,000–8,000 in fees depending on CC, and never accept 'I will transfer later'.
